Spooked

As I can't think of anything to post today, I've decided to leave a coded message. Just in case any Russian Spies (or Scottish ones -eh Gwen?), are reading this blog.

You know the type of thing. Two middle age men sidle up to each other on a grey day (prefereably not on Hampstead Heath), exchange code words and hatch a dastardly plot to overthrow somebody or other.

If any spies respond I can then arrange to meet them in Gorky Park (to the sountrack of Wind of Change by the Scorpions) and exchange microfilms. Then go on the run, like Richard Hannay (the Robert Donat one) in the 39 Steps....but not for too long, as I have to go back to work next week and have busy time planned.. pushing envelopes, running things up flagpoles and putting things on back-burners.

Anyway, today's coded message is:

"Comrade, the union of the snake is on the climb."

Enjoy the bank holiday.

Microfilm Exchange 1600 Hours Bellshill Chippy. The safety of the world depends on this mission.

So Comrade, you know Scotland well?

Comrade, neds amassed around Hadrians wall - abort!

I spent some time, in the early nineties, installing computer and phone systems in a steel depot in Bellshill and another up near the SEC (on the banks of the Clyde? Aye). It always seemed to be in winter. Nothing like being in the a steel warehouse in Glasgow in December. Brrrrrr.
So that meant a few evenings in the Bothwell Bridge hotel and Erskine Bridge Hotel. And of course some nice curries in Hamilton.
I also spent a little recreational time, based in Loch Rannoch, but touring around a bit. I especially recall a trip to the village of Pennan, so I could pay homage to one of my favourite films and take this picture.

"It always seemed to be in winter"

In fact you were probably in Scotland in July, we just have a tendancy to get winter weather all year round here. However the hope is that global warming will give us the weather that the rest of Britain experiences in an average summer. We can but hope.

VS, judging from your new photo, you are in danger of blowing your cover. Do you WANT the humans to know about the World Domination Masterplan or something? 'Number One' is very cross with you indeed. And so are the other Cuckoos.

Valentine Suicide said...

Sorry Number Two.
I was actually trying to flush out Number One (so to speak).

My intel informs me that he is not black and white with glowing eyes like the rest of the Cuckoo's, but orange. Last seen between Worthing and Beachy Head.

Full report to follow.
Out.

Gwen - Is it a bit chilly around the Gorbals today, or am I getting old?

Whatever your age it's always important to keep well wrapped up in these nether regions.
