.. If you're about the same age as me, you'll remember this. I was fifteen, and had to go back to sleeping with my parents.
(Don't watch if you're not a fan of horror films!)
I understand this has been remade with Rob Lowe in the David Soul role.
What were they thinking?

Fantastic. I remember it like yesterday. It scared the crap out of me. Still does.
Excuse my total ignorance but what film is it and what happens? I remebber being pretty small and being scared to death watching Jaws. Strangely the Towering Inferno wasn't nearly as scary.
Damn another spelling mistake but I'm not deleting another comment.
It's the excellent TV mini-series 'Salems Lot from 1979. Kept us terrified and talking about it for weeks. Really creepy and with a lot more scares than your average hollywood horror...
Mmm - Sounds good, but a bit scary as you say.
A bit later there was a similarly good TV working of 'It', with my own personal horror, 'Pennywise the Clown'. He lurked about under drain gratings and lured kids to their deaths. I still reckon 'Pennywise' really exists.
He does...I've seen him.
You know, I've got that version of 'It' knocking around on DVD somewhere. I'm going to dig 'It' out and watch 'It' again.
I have no real recollection of 'It', except that John 'Boy' Walton was in 'It'.
On a similar, how do you feel about the ventriliquist dummy in 'Magic'...
Do you mean 'Fats'? Oh, god.
Absolutely terrifying. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Really horrible.
This one's probably not for you then...
OH,EEEWW!! And, EEEEK!!!
And your picture..horrible...
That is pretty scary. But why oh why oh why in horror films do they feel the need to constantly to into darkened houses and not put the lights on. Or maybe that's not the point.
