Just off out to find some on the seafront. If I don't have any luck, I'll beat up some mods instead. It passes the time.
John Foxx will be popping round about noon with his Bontempi, to do a couple of birthday numbers in your top paddock. I've given him the address as 'Sartori, Bostin' Lane, Great Saab, The Black Country. Hope that's right.
Have a great day, and hope your team win, lose or draw.
I'll keep an lookout for Foxxy, though we renamed the house to 'Duncyclin' after I kept getting kicked in the eye.
I've given Rowlandy a couple of quid to get you and L a beer, but I understand he's been sighted in a new faux-wolfskin ankle-length posing jerkin, so chances are you won't get your pint. Have a nice day anyway.
Thanks CBB. Remember, if you like U2 mate, that's all that matters. Doesn't matter what youthful people such as myself think. (or elderly ladies, such as Melfi)
I'm afraid you're on your own on the Star Wars prequels as well CBB. As as saucer-eyed 12 year old in '77, I devoured 'A New Hope' and then it's two sequels. When 'The Phantom Menace' was announced I was thrilled. Unfortunately, in my opinion, George Lucas somehow managed to remove all the 'boys own' charm of the originals and replace it with Jar-Jar Binks.
As for birthday presents I got a bag and some clothes from M'zelle Suicide, a renewed subsription to Word Magazine, a couple of bottle of Jamesons. Oh and a book that was recommended by isbw. Which, if I don't like, earns her a chinese burn.
Cool presents. I was born in 79 so I don't know if I count as being an original Star Wars fan or not, but I'd maintain that most of the criticisms made of the prequels could (and often were) made of the originals ;as Harrison Ford famously said of Lucas' dialogue "you can type this shit but you can't say it". And the strengths - visual spectacle, epic drama, old-fashioned adventure - of the originals are present in the prequels too. You know the Empire online review of Star Wars is by Andrew Collins? During a spell in mental hospital I remarked to a fellow patient that one of my life's problems was that, aside from a Jedi Knight, I can't think of anything I want to be. He warned me not to let the doctors hear me say that or else I'd never get out!

Happy Birthday.
If such a thing is possible at 42. The best you can hope for is that your prostate holds out for another 12 months, frankly.
I believe a dentist took my prostate teeth out some years ago, so Yah, Boo and Sucks at you, Dr M.
I take great comfort in:-
a) I'm younger than you
b) My legs are still intact
c) I'm younger than you
Haven't you got any U2 fans to torment today?

Happy birthday VS!

If you thought liking U2 was bad, I also enjoy the Star Wars prequels. And I wonder why I'm in therapy ;-). Get anything cool for your birthday?
