Someone got to this blog by doing a search for 'Owen Wilson's Suicide attempt'. I must have missed this in the news, and it saddened me somewhat. I like this unlikely movie star, surely one of the more interesting actors working in Hollywood, and one of only three that I'll watch in absolutely anything. (Ed Norton and John Cusack, if you're remotely interested).

It was shame. Followed a relationship break-up, I think, with some famous bint or other. Poor lad.

He was great in Royal Tenenbaums and Life Aquatic. I wasn't aware of this new collaboration. Even in non-Wes Anderson stuff I find him strangely hypnotic. A combination of nose and drawl..
