Winter !

I got back today to find some advert on TV blaring "All I Want for Christmas is You", with a real proper Santa in the foreground.  I know it's probably a huge cliche to blog about the festivities getting here earlier each year, and I'm sure Wogan and Vine have been moaning about it for months.  But it's my turn today.

I'm not buying anything from any shop I see advertising before the end of November.

I was going to say 'that means you're going to have to rely on Millets an awful lot in the coming weeks', but I wouldn't put money on even Millets not already having an 'Xmas Tent Offer' on the go.

I was sitting opposite a woman on the bus last Friday who was wearing shorts and a spaghetti-strap vest, and carrying four rolls of Christmas wrapping paper. It's just all wrong..

Unfortunately there are already more tents than people in my house. I fear shopping at Millets would cause the appendage growing from Mme's arm to grow even further. (It's starting to look like a rolling pin, and gets wielded when I say things like "just popping out for five or six hours to indulge in some aquatic river sports")

It is wrong. Christmas should have just a little sparkle and magic left about it. Not money-grabbing twatbags looking to....Oh I give up!

I saw your "Does Christmas leave you feeling a little blue..." advert on UK Living over the weekend. That beard really suits you!
