I happened across the tribute act talent show 'The One and Only' this evening (Saturday night TV just keeps on getting better and better doesn't it?).
If you've not seen it, it's the usual X-Factor format, they all do a turn and at the end of the night, after they wrung as much anxiety out of the contestants and got as many phone votes as possible, someone's booted off.
The prize for the winner is a run in a Las Vegas club of some sort.
One of the contestants is a Robbie Williams (pictured) tribute. I'm pretty sure Robbie's not that big in the US. So if he wins the Vegas gig, who's going to go and see him?

Ditto Kylie.
I saw it for the first time this week too. That Lionel Ritchie really is fantastic. I mean, to have your chin enhanced to look like the Three Times a Lady songsmith really shows dedication. Oh, and that's before I've even mentioned the afro, which, of course, Ritchie had dispensed with by the time he did Dancing on the Ceiling or All Night Long or whatever sone he was trying to murder this week.
Is that not the Simmons tongue?
I don't understand why these X factor type 'talent' shows seem to be hugely successful - yet Eurovision is regarded as cheap and cheesy (which it is). Surely they're two sides of the same naffness and should be equally popular or unpopular.
I only caught about 10 minutes of the show, and fled when the Madonna doppelganger appeared. I really can't bear to watch 98% of scheduled TV.
Apologies, I seem to made a mistake with the picture. I obviously meant to publish a photo of Robbie Williams.
I think you'll find that this is Robbie Williams ...

If you didn't work full-time you'd have time to work out to do proper links.
That's not Robbie Williams, it's Robbie Nsnest.
Work full-time, y'say? I wouldn't go that far.
Cor! You pump these posts of yours out quick, don't you, eh Valentine? Talk about rapid-fire. Anyone would think you had a job.
I've been busy helping Kelly Aswad with his lawsuit, actually!
(Don't tell the dole)
Nice to see you've found the time in your busy day (watching horse-racing, drinking White Lightening, and disciplining your wife, no doubt) to change your logo. Shame there's not enough time in your day (the lure of the bookies is great, I know) to post anything new under that spangly new banner. Lazy, time-wasting swine!
Nice new look.
Any nice new posts coming?
